Emma Hutchings is the woman behind Circle Soaps which are handmade, cold process soaps that are organic and using plant-based ingredients. It was very important to Emma that her company focuses on zero-waste, using recyclable materials for packaging and producing as little waste as possible when making soaps. The idea came when she was looking for soap that is organic, natural, plant-based, locally produced and with a reasonable price tag which she wasn’t able to find so she took the opportunity and decided to fill the niche. She’s a very hands-on person, having experimented with creating toothpaste, lip balms, deodorants, etc. before playing with soap. Once the idea manifested, she took a soap making course in England and then played with different recipes from which she came up with her favorite pieces.
