Meet Emmalou Penrod
I have a special guest on today’s show. This is a woman who has over 25 years as an educator. Her name is Emmalou Penrod. She has recently formed a company just a few short months ago called Navigating Education and she is an Independent Education Consultant.
About Emmalou and Navigating Education …
Navigation Education is her brainchild after working with the special education department in the public school system. She was primarily in secondary education and for the most part dealt with both junior high school and high school students.
Emmalou mainly worked with people with a varying range of disabilities.
Her new business is for K-12 students who are having trouble with getting by. Often time these students develop self-esteem issues and the feeling like they are a failure. When all they need is another type of way of being educated and this is exactly what Emmalou does.
Everything begins with an assessment of what the child and family needs and where they are having troubles.
