KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • The impact I can have on everyone, and then everyone that they know, and the world as we see it means so much. As a society we’ve been encouraged to withdraw from emotions and become functioning machines. This has contributed to our misery, depression, anxiety, eating issues, buying issues, credit issues – all this stuff. My hope is to help people tap back into all the good stuff – which also means painful stuff – that is being a human.
  • What’s the wound that we’re constantly reopening instead of healing once and for all, that’s why things don’t work, because we’re not addressing the problem. We’re outing band-aids over a dirty wound instead of actually tending to it and letting it heal. This work isn’t for everyone, but it’s about exploring the depths of this feeling, what could it possibly be stemming from, following the clues like a detective until we discover where it started.
  • I believe we’re this tiny little being of energy when we’re born. Energy attracts like energy. Let’s say three things stick and they are that we didn’t feel supported, we felt alone and abandoned. We’ll keep attracting that until it becomes our energetic DNA and they become patterns. When someone comes to me and truly wants to shift the pattern, I ask them to pretend we absolutely must come up with answers to these questions: How is this pattern serving you? What’s the danger to stopping the pattern? Why is my life better for staying in this pattern? When we hear what the reasons are, the clarity makes it so simple to break the habit at that point. It’s like shining a light into the closet where the scary monsters live and showing that they don’t.
  • I was into exploring Buddhism as a practice. I visited an event near me where the monks were making mandalas out of sand. It looked really cool, but then the wind blows it away after they’re finished. I got so uncomfortable with the fact they put so much effort into making something beautiful just for it to blow away. That made me see how attached I am to things… that’s why I was looking into Buddhism. That constant reminder for me helps me to be ready when change happens. Nothing is permanent and that’s what’s beautiful about life, otherwise nothing would ever grow and evolve and it’s also some of the painful things about life. I’m just better prepared for it and can remind myself that this is the way to something beautiful.

BEST MOMENTS

‘I use the term emotional health coach rather than emotional wellness coach because I feel like most people consider health over wellness and I want people to look at their emotions as a priority.’

‘I’m so emo! I love to cry because I’m so happy or because I’m so sad.’

‘Clients glorifying me and thinking I’m the solution to their problem is a red flag. I’m not the magic wand holder. When I am, my rates will skyrocket!’

‘Each part of us has individual needs, not just the whole of us. So, until they’re addressed, satiated, comforted, made to feel confident that it’s OK, then they’re constantly going to be activated which is what’s stopping us from getting our needs met. It’s so deep, but that’s part of the fun of it for me.’

ABOUT THE GUEST

Heather’s story: There have been many times that I’ve needed help.  I didn’t know who to turn to or if they would be willing to help me.  I tried so many things on my own but was consistently disappointed that what I thought would be the solution to my problems wasn’t.  And often I felt like a lost cause or that things would never change.

Multiple childhood traumas, the 20-year challenge of owning/operating 7 businesses, many award-winning.  The struggle was that I didn’t have support in place issues, never felt good enough, and always seeing my failures.  Then, add in my brother’s suicide, my own divorce – it became too much to handle and I had a quarter-life crisis.

As I was picking myself up from my meltdown, I was diagnosed with fertility issues and realised I was in an incredibly psychologically abusive relationship, I lost a lot of hope again.  It may have been my lowest point actually.  I was officially diagnosed with PTSD and anyone who saw me could tell there was something seriously wrong.

I had always been into personal development and so it was what I knew, I kept seeking and seeking, and over time I connected with the right support, experienced great processes, and from it, I have created my own methodology that works, quickly, effectively and long term.  With this knowledge and system, I couldn’t sit back knowing others may be going through the same without sharing it.

My pain led me to my real passion! All the other stuff was an attempt but this is really it!

I have gratitude for my life experience and while it does equip me well to help others, I have also trained with the best coaches in the world (and still do)!

So, when you work with me you can trust I can relate AND I have the right tools to help you.

When we work together. I promise you’ll discover things about yourself that surprise and empower you.

You will learn these tools and techniques to help you live the most joyful & authentic life!

It's never too late to go for the life of your dreams - full of deeply connected relationships, more fun & leisure, balance, financial freedom & whatever your heart desires!

ABOUT THE HOST

Gavin Scott is a born entrepreneur with a passion for start up and scale up. He has over 20 years real estate experience in investment and development.

Gavin says: Over the years I have discovered that mindset is everything. Now, that might sound obvious, but it is! You see the number of awoken minds are very few in reality. Whilst acknowledging mindset is key it is absolutely different from utilising, influencing, impacting and effecting great change, for yourself, your loved ones, friends, colleagues and the wider public.

Why?

Like most of us I have had many ups and downs. I want to share the lessons learnt and promote a better environment for all, internally and externally!

How?

Through sharing my own experiences and hosting some fabulous individuals including some big household names to discuss key topics around mindset and the success formulas I hope the listener will become inspired to create space for change for betterment in their lives. I aim to inspire change by encouragement, not by force. I intend to inspire by education, not by regulation.
