There was a message that I heard consistently when I was growing up and that was this: there is no place for emotion here. As a result, I spent a lifetime not being connected to my emotions.
Our emotions are data points that we can use to learn more about ourselves but we have been programmed to believe that feeling and showing them is a weakness. So we have shut this part of our brains down instead of learning how to cultivate and connect with it.
There is so much possibility available to you when you begin to feel your feelings. When you check in with your emotions, you cultivate trust with yourself and regulate yourself, learning to be more calm, agile, and resilient.
I invite you to ask yourself: where are you not feeling your emotions? Where are you offloading your feelings onto other people? You are not responsible for how others feel but you are responsible for the emotional energy you bring into a relationship. I encourage you to cultivate emotional health for yourself so that you can empower yourself and enjoy your life in every way available to you.
Join me this week as I share what being emotionally responsible looks like and show you why it is vital to work through and release all emotions even the negative ones. Learn why it is never too late to become responsible for your emotional health and how to develop an understanding of feeling your feelings and moving through them.
