Telling your parents is hard but the months following of the constant back and forth is harder. It can feel like a slow wear down of your sanity balancing our need for autonomy with being overly understanding of our parents upbringing with the need to protect out mental peace and taking every win we can get. Binny is 26 and was born and raised in the UK and currently lives with her boyfriend. She shares what it's been like since she broke the news to her family and the emotional toll it can take at times.
