Remembering that we are not our pain, I share from my experience of grief.
I want to bring light into the dark with this.
Because sometimes what helps most is knowing that we are not alone.
I also talk briefly about The Power of Now and the concept of the pain body — and how these ideas helped me begin to see the difference between identifying myself apart from my pain (I am not the pain).
By observing rather than identifying with it, I found a new space inside, a new sense of freedom that came after the pain was felt.
This is an invitation to remember:
Even in the hardest moments,
there is awareness underneath the pain —
and that awareness
is who we truly are.
