Jesus was an emotional being.

We all have emotional pain.

Matthew 26:36-42

Jesus feels his emotions. He goes to the place of pain, and he sits in it.

It is impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.

1, Jesus gives God his feelings (v 38)

2, Jesus gives God his desires (v 39)

3, Jesus gives God his trust (v 39, 42)

Our deepest desire and our strongest desire are not always the same.

Surrender is the place where our emotions start to get healthy.

Reality is where we meet God.
