The first thing we need to remember is that other people's reactions or over-reactions are exactly that: other people's. Let's keep in mind what's ours to fix, and what is NOT. The question to ask ourselves would be, what drives us to make other people okay? Why do we feel the need to right every wrong? Why do we take on what belongs to others?
It's our responsibility to soothe ourselves.
When we take on that job for others, we are stopping them from learning to do this themselves.
We are to be kind and respectful, but let's keep in my where others end and where we begin, and vice versa.
