Welcome to the podcast Mind Matters created by Orange County Government's Mental Health and Homelessness Division as a part of the Orange County Mind Matters behavioral health initiative.
Our goal in this series is to provide accurate, helpful and relevant information about mental health concerns and to share some strategies that you and your family can use to manage these challenges. We also want to spread the message loud and clear that experiencing mental health concerns especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic is normal, and we’re in this together.
Our guest today is April Boykin, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. April is the co-owner of Counseling Resource Services. April has a Master's Degree in Social Work from East Carolina University and over 30 years experience. She is an accomplished educator and trainer in the areas of program evaluation, professional development, strategic planning, team building and agency management, as well as direct service topics. April has worked in the academic, corporate and non-profit sectors, with managers, boards, and staff. In addition, April provides direct service to families, children, adults, and seniors.
