Our guest today is Zain Mustafa who is the President and Founding Member of the Society for the Protection of Animal Rights (SPAR) which came into existence in July 2017, triggered by the unfortunate loss of a Husky puppy whom he rescued from its owner who had it suffering in a small concrete floor enclosure outside his house on the footpath on the June heat of Karachi, lonely, neglected and in poor physical health which led to his untimely demise though multiple vets tried for 48hrs to save the pup. It was through SPAR’s tireless efforts that Sindh Welfare and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 2017 — a law that aims to free animals from all kinds of abuse came into existence.

Other than this Mr. Mustafa has also been a core part of the Karachi Zoo Revamp Design team. Has also led the development of the ACF team in 2014. He is also a Trustee on the board of SBT & The Garage School. Founder CUBE Design Education initiative & educational architectural heritage tours of Sind. He is further on the Board of Advisors PCCC. And in the little spare time he has left, he enjoys leading philanthropic projects in Sehwan & Ranikot Fort. By profession Mr. Mustafa is a Parsons School of Design & Columbia University educated Architect, international award-winning interior designer and educator.
