The Empire - United We Stand

An Empire – consists of different cultures, different groups, and different regions of people coming together in unity under one ruler. How much land or territory it occupied and its population measured its greatness as an Empire.

Exodus 6:7 I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

1 Peter 2:9-10 you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

1. God’s Family Stands Up For His Vision

Hab 2:2 “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.A vision is the idea of God given to the heart and mind of man so he can carry it out

We are called to: Bring God’s Freedom To This Generation 
Freedom heals and restores the broken – “I want to spend my life mending broken people, I want spend my life removing pain”

Ex 7:16 Let My people go, that they may worship and serve Me

2. God’s Family Fights For Unity

1 Cor 1:10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Ps 133:1-3 How good and how pleasant for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing 

3. God’s Family Walks By Faith and Love, Not By Strife and Offense

One of our church family values is to ensure a “No Strife Zone”Beware of the nit pickers, negative thinkers, and doubters, these kind don’t enter into the Promised Land, and they like company...

James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

The spirit of strife looks like this:It wears the helmet of pride
It wears the breastplate of unrighteousness
It holds the sword of bitterness
It carries the shield of hate
It threatens with the hammer of judgment
It wears the cloak of deception
It puts on boots of anger
And all it can do is speak forth lies

1 Sam 14:6-7 Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.” 7 So his armor bearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Go then; here I am with you, according to your heart.”
