We often hear the phrase "Be the change you want to see in the world."  

This week's guest, Kristi Birkeland,  has built her career around not only enhancing the employee/employer experience through a variety of strategies including community engagement.    

She has taken this passion and funneled it back into her community and as result is now the President/CEO of United Way of Whatcom County!  She leads the organization in working collaboratively with businesses, non-profits, volunteers, and other community stakeholders to provide them with opportunities to support the causes they care about while creating avenues for employee giving and making positive change in their own community.    

Kristi's natural talent for communication and engagement make her a natural choice for this position.
