Although there has been assurance from government that no one will be forced to take the covid-19 vaccine, the guidelines provided by the Labour Department indicate that employers could be well within their rights to compel workers to get inoculated. South Africa has administered more than 6,3 million vaccines so far and it is expected that more and more people will be working from the office once again. So, under what circumstances can a company force its employees to get vaccinated?
