Loren Dalbert is an advocate for guaranteed income in the San Francisco Bay Area. He recently designed and implemented the East Contra Costa Mobility LABs initiative and helped create a local guaranteed income pilot program in Contra Costa, California.

In this interview, Loren discusses how he became interested in basic income initiatives through his own experience as a formerly homeless veteran, how he’s seen first-hand how basic income projects lift up communities, and why he thinks this is the perfect time to roll out more UBI programs across the country.
