Believers are empowered by the Holy Spirit with various gifts - such as wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, and tongues - given as He wills for the common good, to glorify God, and to build up the church. These gifts remain active until Christ returns, offering a foretaste of the fullness to come, and should be eagerly pursued and exercised in love and order.
