We continue into our beginning-of-the-year connection with God's Word by looking at Acts. Here we see the expansion of the Kingdom of God through the work of servants - deacons - and the faithfulness of a diaconal church, grounded in the word of God and prayer, in the midst of experiencing adversity. This account raises a gap that moves us towards our own pursuit of God's kingdom in our current moment.
