Episode 180 won't disappoint with the Three Little Pigs, The Wheel of Favor and Bobby and Meghan had to be rescued from the podcast studio! Bobby and Meghan are thrilled to welcome Natalie Runion, the founder of Raised to Stay, a community of Stayers who are healing and staying connected to the local church. We discuss her new book, The House That Jesus Built. This powerful conversation dives into deconstruction, church hurt and building a foundation on Jesus.
About The Book
In The House That Jesus Built, bestselling author Natalie Runion gives insight and encouragement to all the “stayers” who want to be part of rebuilding their local churches, brick by brick. From the bestselling author of Raised to Stay comes a hope-filled, practical path forward for churches to rebuild from the rubble of faith deconstruction and the devastation of spiritual abuse so they can become the world-changing family of God again. Natalie Runion explains that God’s Word provides a beautiful design for a holy, healthy, and safe church. She points readers back to the church’s foundation, floor plan, and framework provided in scripture.
For churches that have survived the recent “great resignation” of church leadership and “quiet quitting” of church membership, Runion’s instructive new book provides much-needed encouragement alongside a fresh vision for ministry.

Connecting our hearts to God through prayer is vital for our spiritual growth. Prayer can be intimidating for some and come easy for others, but regardless of where we are in our walk with God, know that we are all prayer learners on a journey of growth and true fulfillment in Jesus. Bobby and Meghan are joined, in studio, by Susan Sowell to have an honest conversation about different types of prayer, dancing in the kitchen and getting honest with God when you don't feel like praying!
Isaiah 50:4
The Lord GOD has given me
the tongue of those who are instructed
to know how to sustain the weary with a word.
He awakens me each morning;
he awakens my ear to listen like those being instructed.
Christian Standard Bible (Nashville, TN: Holman Bible Publishers, 2020), Is 50:4.
Psalm 25:4
4 Make your ways known to me, LORD;
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
I wait for you all day long.
Christian Standard Bible (Nashville, TN: Holman Bible Publishers, 2020), Ps 25:4–5.
