Growing up, Mara O’Brien-James was surrounded by “strong-minded, opinionated women who knew the world was not entirely built the way it should be.” Now, as a mom and professional herself (Mara joined CARE Canada in 2009 and is now serving as its Interim President and CEO), she’s working to break gender stereotypes and eliminate barriers to equality around the world.
