On this episode of "Empowering Our Community (in partnership with ACE)," Former KPCRadio Program Director Chris Rubinstein and Current Program Director Olivia Munoz speak with Michael Altamirano, a Reentry specialist for the SECTOR program at ACE, and a Housing Aide for the House of RUTH. He talks about his struggles with drug abuse, gang life, and prison time, and how his perseverance through those issues eventually led him to the ACE and RUTH YouthBuild programs, where he became a leader and an aide that helped troubled youth and other people in need through the same situations that he had once been through.
