Prachi is a trained Psychologist and Epidemiologist by profession having experience of working over 22 years at Sangath, one of the leading mental health research organizations in India. Prachi has experience working with national and state governments, national and international NGOs, grassroots organizations, and a wide range of stakeholders on program development, training, and implementation. She has worked with various types of school systems, intervention delivery agents in different parts of India and with different target groups (normal and vulnerable adolescents, women, and children).

Her work primarily involves developing and evaluating interventions for children, youth, women, and families. She regularly takes counseling sessions for adolescents and families. Conducts workshops and training programs for students, parents, teachers, and professionals on topics related to Mental Health. Prachi is also passionate about working with issues such as child protection and family/domestic violence. She was appointed as a member of the Juvenile Justice Board, under the Juvenile Justice Care and Protection amended Act, 2015. She has also served as a member of the Goa State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, which is a recommendatory body in the State on child rights.
