In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, host Anna Pluymert, Right to Life of Michigan (RLM) Director of Education and Communications, sits down with Doris Perez. Doris is a Catholic singer-songwriter and executive producer of her musical recordings. She was born in Ohio and grew up in Puerto Rico. She was the former lay director (active member) of the Detroit Cursillo Movement and former President of the Board of Directors of the LCPC/LCEF. She also served as the former President of the board of directors of the parish council of the Hispanic community of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Detroit. Doris has worked in different music ministries, as a choir director since the age of 15 and serves evangelizing/singing in retreats, youth groups, charismatic renewal movement and Pro-Life events. Doris is a member of the RLM Hispanic outreach committee and was gracious enough to share her experience of how she got involved with RLM through music and why it·s so important to educate the Hispanic community on the dangers of abortion.
