Another seemingly endless week comes to a close, but not before we've had a chance to talk about it with Marcy Wheeler of emptywheel.net. We began with three detentions this week. The first, an ICE officer driving drunk with his kids in the back seat in Florida. The second is Portland Protestor Robby Steamroller explaining his arrest to Tim Miller at the Bulwark. And the third, Marcy wrote about Sydney Reed who was arrested in July for filming ICE making arrests when one of them pushed her causing a boo boo on the agent's hand. Jeanine Pirro tried to charge it as a felony but wound up with an embarrassing acquittal.
We also talked about Trump's vindictive prosecutions of his "enemies" Jim Comey, Letitia James and John Bolton. And, of course, tomorrow's No Kings Day 2, wherever you are. I'll be back here live on Monday. Until then, be safe! Peace out.
