He has made quite a long list and while he is practicing telling Santa with his Dad, his father asks him “What have you done to deserve these things?” The little boy spends some time thinking about the question his father has asked and later in the day has an answer.

Bernice is excited about going to Gertrude’s party. She and Ethan talk about it as they walk home. Ethan says that he heard that Gertrude’s mom is ordering a lot of pizza, and they think it must be because Bobby is coming, and he loves pizza.
