Our guest today is Bishop Joseph Strickland of Tyler, TX: 👉 Ordained to the priesthood in 1985. 👉 Named first vocation director for the diocese in 1987. 👉 Completed canonical studies with a licentiate in canon law in 1994. 👉 Appointed judicial vicar for the diocese in 1995. 👉 Pope John Paul II bestowed on him the title of Monsignor in 1996. 👉 On September 29, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI appointed Msgr. Strickland the Fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Tyler. Bishop Strickland is also the author of Light and Leaven: The Challenge of the Laity in the Twenty-First Century (published by Catholic Answers Press – catholic.com).
