From Spectators to Witnesses | Acts 1

Jesus never called us to simply attend church. He called us to be His witnesses!

In Acts 1, Pastor Joe challenges believers to move from being passive spectators to active, Spirit-empowered disciples who share the good news of Jesus.

You don't need all the answers, a ministry title, or a theology degree to make a difference. Your personal testimony is a powerful way to point others to Christ.

God's vision requires God's power, and through the Holy Spirit, ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things for His kingdom.

Don't just watch from the sidelines. Your story matters, and God wants to use it!

God has a purpose for your life that goes beyond yourself!

In Acts 1:6–8, Jesus calls His followers to be witnesses, beginning right where they are and reaching to the ends of the earth.

In this message, Pastor Joe challenges us to move beyond our comfort zones and discover how God wants to use us to reach others with the gospel.

Spiritual maturity begins when we stop asking only what God can do for us and start asking what God wants to do through us.

The question is: Will the ripple stop with you?

What is your purpose as a Christian? In Acts 1:8, Jesus gives His followers a clear mission: receive power from the Holy Spirit and be His witnesses wherever He sends us.

In this message from Acts: The Church in Motion, Pastor Joe Dwyer teaches how the calling Jesus gave the early church still applies to followers of Jesus today.

You weren't created to simply watch from the sidelines. You were called to live with purpose, share your faith, and allow God to work through your life.

In this message, you'll discover:

• What Acts 1:8 means for Christians today

• Why the Holy Spirit empowers us for God's mission

• What it means to be a witness for Jesus

• How your everyday life can become part of God's purpose

• Why your mission starts right where you are

Jesus told His disciples they would be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. For us, that mission includes our homes, workplaces, schools, neighborhoods, and our own city of Amarillo, Texas.
