"Let me be very clear, when I say forgiveness, and when we say "Grace and Peace" in the face of an offense, that doesn't excuse the wrong, it doesn't diminish the offense that occured or the weight of it, but in a moment like that, when we offer Grace and Peace, we are trusting God to carry the weight of the offense.  He'll carry it instead of us; and we can instead offer grace and peace.  It is not an  easy thing to do but it brings so much freedom."
