Moses was living in a self-imposed exile in Midian after he killed an Egyptian slave master who was beating an Israelite and then ran for his life. Now in advanced years he encounters the living God through the burning bush, and changes his life by tasking him with going back to Egypt to free God's people. How can an aged, failed man achieve this? Only by realising that the perfect sufficiency of 'I AM' covers all of our insufficiency and inadequacy.
