This week, Pastor Daniel shares on Matthew 6 as we take a look at the Pharisees. The Pharisees were the religious elite of Jesus’ time. If anyone was disciplined and “spiritual”, it was them. However, it was also clear that many of their actions were done before people in order to receive praise rather than as genuine acts of worship before God. While we will always be a mixed bag of motivations, we should strive to live before God rather than constantly stressing about how others perceive us. Our identity and worth are secured in God’s love for us.
