Today’s scripture is Psalms 68:35: “O God, You are more awesome than Your holy places. The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!” So much can be learned from this short verse. When you are in a dark place and at your lowest, when you are grieving, and even in the best of times, praise God for who He is. Acknowledge Him for what He can do for you. And thank Him for meeting your need. I love Charles Spurgeon’s explanation of this scripture: “He is strong, and makes strong: blessed are they who draw from his resources, they shall renew their strength.”
Father God,
You are an awesome God. You are powerful and all knowing. Thank you for every person listening. You know exactly where they are and what they have had to endure. You know all of their strengths and weaknesses. You do not think less of Your children when they are going through a crisis. Matter of fact, it is You who gives Your people strength and power do endure difficult seasons. All we have to do is ask. Lord, on behalf of those listening, I ask that you give them strength and power in all situations they are facing today. Protect each one and keep them healthy. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen!
