In this episode, guest speaker Brad Pogue shares how scripture teaches that true believers are set apart for service to God and have a real desire to obey God and grow in holiness…while imperfections still remain, they are compelled to structure their lives, including their time, to labor towards this goal. We see this in the Thessalonian believers and others recorded in Scripture. Believers are to encourage and build each other up to do the same. We don’t doze in spiritual sloth and indifference like those still in darkness. We also must understand the responsibilities within a church body between the members and their pastors that point in both directions. Let church members appreciate, highly esteem and live in peace with pastors who labor diligently to instruct them.
