With the Paralympics having closed this weekend in Paris, we kick off the episode with a look back at some of the highlights as Team GB finished with 49 golds and 124 medals.

It was contrasting end of term fortunes for England’s cricketers as the men’s team lost the final test against Sri Lanka, whilst the women’s team won their series against Ireland in Belfast. There was also success in Ireland for England’s footballers as they kicked off Lee Carsley’s reign with a 2-0 win in Dublin.

Wigan beat top of the table rivals Hull Kingston Rovers, and with just 2 games left this makes them favourites to take the League Leaders’ Shield, whilst St Helens’ defeat leaves them in danger of missing out on the play offs for the first time since 1997.

In the US Tennis Open it was wins for Jannik Sinner and

Aryna Sabalenka, whilst Britain’s Jack Draper reached his first ever Grand Slam semi-final.

We also have the latest from Rugby Union, the final week of La Vuelta, the first weekend of the new NFL season and also an amazing paddleboarding world record.
