The End of Life Choice Bill that will legalise euthanasia passed its third and final reading last night in Parliament. The Bill put forward by ACT Party Leader David Seymour will allow patients with a terminal illness to request for a medically-assisted death. The Bill passed by 69 votes to 51 although it won’t become law just yet. The decision will now go to the people in a referendum next year at the General Elections.
