We’re kicking off Season Two of Yangarella Radio with a series of narratives from Nigerians, both at home and abroad, regarding the END SARS protests that occurred in Nigeria (and across the globe) in late 2020. In this episode, our guests speak candidly about a myriad of topics including: the origin of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the perception of the abusive practices of this police body in Nigeria, the effectiveness of the youth-led protests in opposition to the SARS unit and general police brutality within Nigeria. Also, the discussion touches on vehicles that Nigerians in the Diaspora can utilize to stay connected to the issues affecting their home country.
