KNOW YOUR ENEMY
Ephesians 6:10-12    Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.     NIV
OUR ENEMIES NAMES
Devil  - diabolos (dee-ab'-ol-os)  a traducer or an accuser.
Satan   -   Satanas (sat-an-as') the accuser or the adversary.
He is also called the tempter (Matthew 4:3), murderer and liar (John 8:44), angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15) and god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:4).
Ephesians 6:12   For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.   NIV
Rulers   - individuals who hold the highest and loftiest positions of rank and authority.
Authorities  -  lower ranking who have delegated authority.
Powers of this dark world  -  raw power harnessed into order.
Spiritual forces of evil  -  something that is bad, vile or malicious.
Ephesians 6:10-11    Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.     NIV
Take your stand – dunamis   -   explosive ability and dynamic strength and power.
Schemes  -  methodus -  with a road or on a road.
2 Corinthians 2:11   in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.    NIV
Schemes – insidious plots and wicked schemes, to bring deception.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5  he weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.    NIV
Romans 6:6-8    We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. 7 For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. 8 And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him.        New Living
Romans 6:6-11     Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the Cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life — no longer at sin's every beck and call! What we believe is this: 8 If we get included in Christ's sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. 9 We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. 10 When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. 11 From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That's what Jesus did.         MESSAGE
