Ending Hunger One Food Donation At A Time (with Renee Fuller)
Steve Stack is back with another episode of American Hardwood Advisor. In this episode, Renee Fuller, Director of Development at Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, stops by Studio 3B.
Listen in as Renee and Steve discuss everything Second Harvest does to fight hunger in the Valley, where to volunteer, and all the food donation possibilities.
Second Harvest distributes nutritious food to nearly every neighborhood in Mahoning Valley. As a member of Feeding America, Second Harvest provided 10.6 million pounds of food to kids, seniors, and families in need during 2021.
Donate non-perishable food items at one of their drop-off locations. Fresh produce and surplus food from grocery stores are also welcome. Food drive donations are welcome year-round.
Interested in volunteering? Second Harvest Food Bank relies on its volunteers. The nonprofit organization trains all volunteers on food safety, expiration dates, and going through food donations. There are volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups.
