John & Eric discuss the ongoing case of NYPD officer Juan Perez who responded to a 911 call and was attacked by an emotionally disturbed person. Officer Perez defended himself by throwing 6 closed fist strikes in order to gain compliance.The emotionally disturbed man was taken to hospital treated & released. 2 years after the incident he was indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and was told by NYC Corporation Council he would not be indemnified for defending himself during an on duty incident.
