As skate culture identifies with creativity, dedication and constantly shifting the paradigm, he’s always been at the forefront of it. We focus so much on developing skill, passion, living and breathing your craft, and that is a major, common thread in the skate game.

For Gil, he’s drawn to PRod’s elite level talent, but also his gifts. To try new things and think of the ultimate, ultimate tricks, is something that is close to his heart. PRod’s style and intellect was something that through their Nike connection, was also wisdom shared in with conversations with Kobe. In a sport where falling is given, it’s the character to get back up and keep pushing that’s what we can all draw from.
