Endometriosis And Cannabis Interview With Mariah/@endodoula

Listen Later

In this episode we talk with Mariah/@endodoula about her story with endometriosis and using cannabis to help with her symptoms.

Endometriosis (en-doe-me-tree-O-sis) is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the tissue that normally lines the inside of your uterus — the endometrium — grows outside your uterus. Endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries, fallopian tubes and the tissue lining your pelvis. With endometriosis, the tissue can be found on the ovaries, fallopian tubes or the intestines. The most common symptoms are pain and menstrual irregularities. Effective treatments, such as hormones and excision surgery, are available.

Endometriosis is a common health problem for women. Researchers think that at least 11% of women, or more than 6 ½ million women in the United States, have endometriosis.
