In Hebrews 12, Christian life is analogized as a race that requires endurance to push through but an eternal payout that makes it all worth it. Life is short. Death is certain. Eternity is long. Therefore, it is worth it to lay aside everything that hinders us from running this Christian race well in this life for the eternal reward awaiting us later!
