Harmonies inspired by Impressionist painters,
Birdsong mingling with echoes of the historic past of a legendary river.
Presented at the City of Rouen’s stand during the Armada, from June 8 to 18, 2023, this sound journey captivated visitors. Decked out in the colors of Rouen Seine Normande 2028, the 800 m² site, praised by both press and public, offered a unique sensory experience. Wooden cabins, crafted by carpenters and decorated by municipal gardeners, welcomed the public in a scenography designed by Étienne David.
This experience engaged all your senses—smell, touch, hearing, taste, and sight—to reveal the soul of the Seine and its surroundings.
Imagined by the City of Rouen and produced by the Sauvegarde du Patrimoine Acoustique under the direction of Nicolas Labatut, this sound journey offered a rich palette of musical excerpts. The piano composition "Meander", created especially for the occasion, concluded the episode beautifully.
