Here we are in the middle of February and there's lots of O60s and O70s Cricket to talk about.
Grant also fills us in on ‘Cricket on Ice’ which sounds like some sort of celebrity TV reality show but in actual fact is proper cricket played in St Moritz with our favourite commentator and umpire team involved – Rash and Mel Mahmood.
It's your final chance to win a copy of Roland Butcher's book 'Breaking Barriers - Barbados to England and back’. If you know the answer to the question we set the beginning of the episode then send your answer to [email protected]
We have a quick look back at the England O60s Lions tour of India and then focus on the fantastic effort by the England O70s who whitewashed their Australian hosts in their own backyard to retain the Silver Ashes and now look forward to defending the O70s World Cup in Christchurch New Zealand.
It's an 8 team tournament featuring England, USA, India, Canada, Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and a Rest of the World team.
Everybody plays everybody in a round robin format with matches every two days starting on the 18th of February - 10am New Zealand time which is 9 pm on the 17th of February here in the UK
The top two teams from the round robin stage meet in the final on March 5th at the Hagley Oval - a ground which hosted its first Test match on Boxing Day 2014 and on day one a certain Brendan McCullum scored 195 off 134 balls v Sri Lanka.
Will we see a repeat of that kind of innings in the O70s final?
