One of the most effective interventions to prevent multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) in nursing homes are Enhanced Barrier Precautions (EBP). In today's episode, we discuss an overview of EBP — including a history of MDROs; who's at risk for infection; the rationale for EBP; and guidelines for implementing EBP.
