The Gospel according to Matthew is part of the New and is believed to have been written around 50 AD, the early church period. The Gospel of Matthew has this name, because it was written by the apostle himself. It is said that before following Jesus he worked as a tax collector. In fact, his writing shows that he was very interested in accounting (18: 23-24; 25: 14-15). The book of Matthew begins with the genealogy of Christ and ends with passion, death and resurrection. Matthew speaks from the birth and beginning of Jesus 'life and then exposes Jesus' ministry, bringing his preachings, like the Sermon on the Mount “Therefore, you will pray like this: Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be your name; your kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven; give us our daily bread today; and forgive us our debts, just as we have forgiven our debtors; and do not let us fall into temptation; but deliver us from evil (for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen) ”(Mt 6,9: 13)
