What we're Enjoying

Jay has been immersing himself in a trio of rugged, high-octane films: Vanishing Point (1971), The Inglourious Bastards (1978), and Django (1966). Each brings a gritty dose of stunt driving, dusty revenge tales, and western-style grit that scratches his cinematic itch. Together they make for the perfect recipe of adrenaline and vintage attitude. Shua has been loving the podcast Once We Were Spacemen, hosted by Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion. Their conversations with fellow creatives tap into the fun, nostalgic energy of their Firefly days. It's insightful, funny, and ideal for anyone who loves behind-the-scenes stories.

Sci-Fi Saturdays -

This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay cracks open Chappie (2015), a robot-themed adventure that blends emotional storytelling with chaotic action and the quirky stamp of Neill Blomkamp. Read his article on RetroZap.com. And make sure to play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. Plus, you can tune in to SHIELD: Case Files where Jay and Shua talk about great stuff in the MCU.

Enjoy The Heist!

This week, we break into the glittering world of heist films, exploring how the genre evolved from early crime flicks to some of the most stylish and clever movies ever made. They look at how these stories form, the tropes audiences love, and why the tension of planning, teamwork, and betrayal continues to captivate us.

We run through standout examples from across the decades, comparing originals with their remakes and spotlighting their personal favorites. And in classic Enjoy Stuff fashion, we wrap up with the Make-a-Heist Foundation, our own wildly imaginative plans for the perfect caper, complete with mishaps worthy of any silver-screen robbery.

What would you heist? Who would be on your team? Let us know! First person that emails me with the subject line, "13 to the right, 57 to the left" will get a special mention on the show. Let us know. Come talk to us in the Discord channel or send us an email to [email protected]
