What we’re Enjoying

Jay went full Clark Griswold and drove across the country to celebrate Shua’s birthday. On the way he enjoyed some very cool landmarks. And they had tons of fun when they were together. Shua recommends the newest documentary that celebrates the 5th anniversary of Steven Spielberg's classic film Jaws. It’s a very well-made film by Laurent Bouzereau that documents the classic for future generations.

Sci-Fi Saturdays

This week on Sci-Fi Saturdays Jay examines the highly anticipated adaptation of the classic Enders Game. While it included much of what was in the book, the film failed to successfully adapt the story in a satisfying way. Jay explains his thoughts and why he thinks it didn’t quite work. Read his article on RetroZap.com. And make sure to play around with the interactive map on MCULocationScout.com. Enjoy Superman!

For 87 years Superman has been thrilling fans in just about every form of media you can think of. He is well known all over the world and is highly regarded for always doing the right thing. In 1978, when Christopher Reeve brought the Man of Steel to the big screen in a way that nobody had ever experienced, it changed the superhero genre forever. And of course it also made an indelible mark on us. Now that James Gunn has brought back the excitement to our hero in blue, we remember our experience with Superman and share our thoughts on the latest movie.

When did you first experience Superman? Which is your favorite? First person that emails me with the subject line, “Look up” will get a special mention on the show.  Let us know. Come talk to us in the Discord channel or send us an email to [email protected]
