Enjoying God’s Presence in Your Work
Scripture:
Psalm 16:8 — “I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.”
Devotional:
God’s presence is not limited to church services or quiet times. He is with you at your desk, in the truck, on the job site, in the classroom, in the kitchen, in the meeting, and on the call. When you learn to “set the Lord always” before you, your work becomes a place of fellowship with Him.
Practically, this looks like remembering He is beside you as you handle tough conversations, navigate deadlines, or serve challenging people. It means pausing inwardly to ask for His help, thanking Him for small wins, and trusting Him when things don’t go as planned.
Fear and anxiety often shrink when you’re aware of His presence. You don’t face your tasks alone. The God who called you also goes with you. His nearness gives you courage, stability, and peace in the middle of a busy workday.
Reflection Questions:
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being with me in every part of my day. Help me stay aware of Your presence as I work. Let Your nearness give me peace, courage, and confidence in all I do. Amen.
