"Enlarging the Circle: Loving Our Neighbor" [July 13, 2025]
Do we love God? Do we love our neighbor? Jesus responds to the question, ‘how do I inherit eternal life?’ with the Shema: love God and love others. Who are the ‘others’ in our life? How is God calling us to love them (Psalm 82)? We love our neighbor by showing mercy (eleeo).

We are choosing to walk with Jesus, and on this journey we learn that we’re meant to be in community. When we construct borders that keep us from God, we miss the joy of the Lord. Do we have the eyes of Christ when we see the “others” in our life? As we approach the throne in faith, we will find freedom, salvation, rest, and compassion. Let’s begin enlarging the circle.
