During a recent onsite I met with a customer who was very excited about the prospect of leveraging Teams to improve their collaboration capabilities. The idea of providing a single pane of glass for their users where they could seamlessly chat, hold meetings, share documents, and more was a clear winner in their estimation. The issues that arose however were that they still had their email on premise and had not deployed OneDrive. In both cases they did plan to eventually roll out those services to their employees but that was a longer-term vision.
In this edition of Michael on the Go I discuss how Teams leverages other Microsoft best of breed services to deliver an optimal single pane of glass for employee productivity. As a part of that discussion I also discuss how not having certain pieces in place may not preclude Teams use but may influence user experience and solution capabilities.
