Compass Group, better known for its brands, Bon Appetit, Eurest, Canteen, Wolfgang Puck, among others, is one of the world's largest foodservice companies, serving millions of people daily and employing over 500,000 associates across all continents. Compass Group relies on SAP to run their business, from supply chain and financials to payroll. Compass Group started deploying their SAP Landscape on AWS a few years ago, first in India and LATAM, where they deployed SAP Business Suite on HANA. Subsequently, they moved their Japan SAP Landscape on Microsoft SQL to AWS. Last year, they migrated both their EMEA SAP Business Suite on Oracle as well as their UK SAP Business Suite on DB2 to AWS. In this session, Compass shares the details this journey, the benefits they gained running SAP on AWS, and the lessons they learned. They also discuss how they integrated their different SAP Landscapes with other legacy systems, how they architected for resiliency, and what's next in their journey.
