***Zakes Bantwini who scored his first Sama win after 15 years in the music industry shared on his Instagram timeline recently that what was supposed to be an exciting night for him left him shocked and disappointed.

The South African Music Awards (often simply the SAMAs) are the Recording Industry of South Africa's music industry awards, established in 1995.

 

***The SA Film and Television Awards (Saftas) billed to be held virtually on Friday and have  announced the line up of hosts. Theya re  Khutso Theledi, Ryle De Morny, Palesa Tembe, Smash Afrika, Candice Modiselle, Mpho Popps and Lasizwe . The event will be themed "Frame the Future".

*** Sting is headed to Sound Africa and he will be perfoming in two cities in the country. The 70-year-old performer is known for his contribution to various genres including rock, reggae, jazz, new-age and classical music.

Some of his hits include “Fields of Gold”, “Shape of my Heart”, “Roxanne” and “Demolition Man” in his upcoming two-city SA tour.
